The Princess Chulabhorn International Science Congress (PC) was initiated by Professor Dr. Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Mahidol, the youngest sister of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua (King Rama X), to provide a forum for the exchange of the latest information and the most recent advances in research among the international scientific community.
Through this program, international congresses on selected topics in science and technology are typically organized every 4 to 5 years, the first congress being held in 1987 on “Natural Products” to celebrate the 60th Birthday Anniversary of His Late Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great (King Rama IX). Each congress was attended by some 1,000 scientists from throughout the world, with Plenary Lectures by Nobel Laureate(s) and renowned scientists, Symposia on the current issues of the time, as well as oral and poster presentations to allow more scientists to present their research, promoting communication between participants that fosters research and academic collaboration.
In 2024, the Congress will be held on the theme of One Health at the Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand from December 15-18, to commemorate the Sixth Cycle (72 years) Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua, an auspicious occasion for the Thai people to celebrate and pay tribute to His Majesty. This marks a time of national joy and jubilation, which all scientists are invited to share.
